This is the best coffee shop in San Diego, hands down. I only come here for my coffee! The drinks and food are superb but it’s really the service that’s the best. Brandon behind the counter was friendly and made sure all of my needs were met. The staff delivers your food and drink straight to your table and then even stop to chat and make sure you have everything you need. Do yourself a favor and come visit this pacific beach gem!

Place was fairly busy when we ordered after waiting in line for about 10 min, not bad. My wife ordered a cafe au lait with an almond croissant and I had a hot chocolate with a croque madame. The food arrived after about ten minutes; drinks showed up 10-15 min after that, unfortunate. My wife's coffee tasted burned; the barista isn't cleaning the grouphead between shots. My hot chocolate was mostly syrupy sugar and not much chocolate. Neither of us were able to enjoy the drinks; for the price it wasn't good. Her croissant was good, not Wayfarer (Bird Rock) good but better than most places. My croque madame was pretty good, except for a sad little egg on top. Several that came out had a large egg on top so I guess I was unlucky. Service was OK with a forced smile, indifference, and some sort of conflict between the servers. Annoying considering the forced tipping during payment when we bus our own tables. Tables were a little unstable and the neighboring table's sunshade fell over, nearly hitting my wife and taking out the food and drink on our table. A little TLC is needed for the outdoor setup. Don't know if I'd go back, think I'll stand in the long line at Wayfarer instead.

The hip place to go for breakfast and a coffee! We came initially for just coffee and a pastry. We ordered two americanos and an almond croissant. Which were delish. The place started filling up and we decided to give their shakshuka with duck and the shrimp omelette a try. We ordered additional drinks - a cappuccino and an iced matcha latte. Everything was carefully and lovingly made. Rich and flavorful. This is the best brunch we had in the area. Super happy we came across La Clochette! We highly recommend ⭐️

This place is really cute and located in a great location. I love coming here with my favorite coffee date (my dog). The staff is always warm & inviting. You can’t go wrong with the breakfast croissant! Also their lavender & matcha lattes are made really well with perfectly frothed milk every time. You can usually find parking around that area, especially during the week. I would definitely check it out if you haven’t :)
